Urban Veda isn’t a brand I have really come across before, but I have seen it a couple of times on other beauty blogs recently and thought I would try it out and let you know my thoughts on the brand.
There are so many environmental factors that can affect our skin, especially in Winter, including excessive central heating (we already have ours on, it is soooo cold right now!), air conditioning, exhaust fumes, dust, dirt and stress and this all shows in our complexion. The Urban Veda range has been formulated using natural ingredients to pollution proof the skin, leaving it less vulnerable to the environment. The Urban Veda products are formulated using Ayurvedic herbs, flowers and fruits, combined with multi-vitamins and clinically proven actives.
I recently tried out the Purifying Exfoliating Skin Polish (£8.99), which I thought would be a great skincare product for these colder months. It is naturally formulated to gently enhance the complexion and stimulate circulation, to keep those cheeks naturally flushed. This gorgeously creamy scrub contains natural micro-particles which help to remove the dead skin cells, leaving the skin clean and healthy.
The Facial Polish also contains organic botanicals to hydrate and nourish the skin, and aromatic bio-oils protect and preserve the skin’s ability to retain moisture, which again is so important when the weather is cold as it sucks the hydration out of our skin and can leave the skin dried out and dull.
To use the Facial Polish, you simple apply to your wet skin, and then massage the product in well, using gentle circular movements with an upwards and outwards motion to relax and support the skin’s suppleness and then rinse. I was super impressed with how my skin felt after using the polish, and have been using it 2-3 times a week to get rid of all of the unwanted dead skin cells. There are a few different ranges for different problems and skin types, but I think the Reviving range is especially great for this time of year to renew and refresh the skin.
