DHC Skincare & Cosmetics

I was recently introduced to DHC when I received a miniature version of their Deep Cleansing Oil in one of my monthly beauty subscription boxes and thought I would share a few of their beauties with you. But first up, a little about DHC…

“DHC UK is a subsidiary of DHC Corporation, Japan’s No. 1 direct skincare company. We are a leading direct-to-consumer provider of beauty products, including skincare, body care and make-up items. Our products are available by catalogue and through our ecommerce website at www.DHCUK.co.uk The vision behind DHC is rooted in the beneficial properties of virgin olive oil. Found to be one of nature’s finest ingredients for helping women achieve and maintain healthy, younger-looking skin, olive oil became the foundation for DHC’s full range of skin-gentle products.

Deep Cleansing Oil £21.50

The DHC Deep Cleansing Oil make-up remover completely dissolves all traces of dirt and make-up, including waterproof mascara and eyeliner, whilst nourishing your complexion with antioxidant-rich olive oil. To apply, use dry hands to massage it onto your dry face.

Add water and it transforms to a milky, vitamin-rich emulsion that rinses clean, leaving your skin feeling soft and nurtured; never dry or greasy. When I first saw this product in my beauty box, I thought ‘oh my gosh that oil is never going to work with my oily t-zone’ but it surprisingly does and is suitable for all skin types.

Make Off Sheet £7.95

DHC Make Off Sheet 100% natural cotton sheets remove make-up, tone and moisturise all in one. Infused with soothing aloe, they sweep away impurities without compromising your skin’s natural moisture.

These wipes are perfect for late nights, the gym, travelling or anytime you can’t perform your regular skincare regime, or rather can’t be bothered – oh I am so lazy! I really liked these as the box is perfect for popping on your bathroom shelf or on your dressing table and they are so effective at removing make-up.

Oil Blotting Paper £4

The Blotting Paper oil-absorbing sheets mattify your complexion and make touch-ups super easy. They come packaged in a cute, take-anywhere box, keep one in your purse, desk drawer and make-up bag for a shine-free face at a moment’s notice.

They are made with 100% all-natural hemp fibres and really help me when my T-zone is going a little crazy.

Liquid Eyeliner EX £16

This Liquid Eyeliner EX brush-tip eyeliner pen is really easy-to-use as it dispenses just the right amount of smudge-proof liner to create any look, from elegant definition to cat-eye boldness.

The extra-fine applicator gave a really smooth and neat effect and it didn’t cause a reaction to my contact-lenses either which sometimes happens to me with other liquid eyeliners.

Clarifying Pore Cover Base £15

The Oil-free Clarifying Pore Cover Base pore-minimising make-up primer (such a long name) keeps your complexion looking naturally matte for hours. Designed to target trouble areas, including the T-zone and the U-zone (cheeks and chin – I so had to Google this).

Make-up lasts longer and your complexion stays shine-free as the consistency is a lightweight, powdery gel which blends to a clear look. I really liked this and definitely prefer it to some of my more well-known, more expensive primers.

Mascara Perfect Pro Double Protection £14.50

Eeeek this is so amazing!!!! The DHC Mascara Perfect Pro Double Protection water-resistant tube-technology formula lengthens the look of your lashes. It is super long-wearing and lasts all day and night with no flaking, smudging, or smearing. The best thing about it? No make-up remover is required!

The formula slides off with warm water and gentle pressure. This mascara made my lashes look really pretty and the fact that I don’t have to mess about with make-up remover is definitely a winner in my book!
