A cult beauty brand, Revlon never fails to bring out amazing products and their Colorburst Lip Butters certainly don’t disappoint. The formula is balmy but with lots of shine and they come in an array of beautiful colours.
The Lip Butters are completely unscented and so are perfect for those of you with sensitive skin and they contain mango, shea and coconut butter to really moisturise the lips. They are a mixture of a lipstick and a lip balm. With regards to packaging, the colour of the case matches the colour of the Lip Butter inside and they have a kind of quilted appearance on the lid which gives a luxurious feel to the product.
Berry Smoothie 050 is a deep pink/purple colour with a very subtle pink shimmer. It gives quite a sheer finish and so the colour isn’t as deep on the lips but you still get the shine and shimmer.
I think this shade would be fab for everyday use, as it only has a hint of colour, for those who do not like a full make-up look on a daily basis.
Peach Parfait 025 looks a brownish colour with a golden shimmer in the tube but once applied it isn’t as brown or as dark as it appears.
It is a pretty peach colour, very natural, again with a little bit of shine and shimmer running through it. I really love the gold sparkle in this Lip Butter as it is pretty without being too disco-diva-ish.
Sweet Tart 090 is a really bright, pretty pink in the tube and doesn’t have any shimmer in it but the glossy shine still remains.
On the lips the colour is still a lovely bright girly pink with slight red tones and this would be fab for a night out with the girls.
The quality of these Lip Butters I found brilliant as they feel lightweight when you are wearing them, as well as hydrating but also give off a really pretty subtle colour. I found that when applying they glided on really easily and kept my lips well moisturised throughout the day. As they are quite sheer, you may need to keep applying if you are after a stronger colour, but the shine lasted me hours.
