Burt’s Bees Lip Balm

Burt’s Bees is an American company that describes itself as an “Earth friendly, Natural Personal Care Company.” Burt’s Bees manufactures their products with natural ingredients using minimal processing such as distillation/condensation, extraction/steamed distillation/pressure cooking and hydrolysis to maintain the purity of those ingredients. Therefore the range of products are 100% natural.

I decided to try the Hydrating Lip Balm with Coconut & Pear (£3.69 for 4.25g). As you know, scent of products can sometimes be really important to me, and the coconut in this product is one of the most natural smelling coconut fragrances I have ever experienced! It is literally like you are smelling a coconut that has just been cracked open. To be honest because of the strength of the coconut scent I couldn’t smell the pear as much though but the overall scent is really tropical, a bit like a pina colada.

The balm itself is clear, and goes onto the lips really smoothly. The container is a regular screw lip balm container with a detachable lid and it is in the trademark Burt’s Bees yellow. As soon as you apply the lip balm, it leaves your lips really soft and protected, although it is quite difficult to resist licking the pina colada scent off your lips!

I cannot wait to try some of Burt’s Bees’ new products.
