Thierry Mugler Alien Eau Extraordinaire

As mentioned previously, I love the majority of fragrances by Thierry Mugler and so was super excited when I came across their latest version of Alien, Alien Eau Extraordinaire. It is a lighter take on the original and has brighter citrus notes making it a lighter fragrance than the original.

The Notes include Neroli, Bergamot Tea, Orange Blossom, Tiare Flower, Cashmeran, White Amber and Heliotrope. No, I haven’t a clue what Heliotrope is either!Image

The first thing I noticed when spritzing this latest perfume was that it isn’t as similar to the original Alien as I would imagine. It is a softer scent, with a bright solar flare of Bergamot, Neroli and Orange Blossom and I would describe it as being delicately crisp and sweet. The overall impact is a lovely floral contrast between soft and luminescent and zesty and musky like the original Alien. As I am SUCH a fan of Alien, (absolutely my favourite perfume ever), I must say I would still choose the original over this new version, but I think this version, as it is slightly more delicate, would definitely be great to wear during the day, and then spicing it up with the original on an evening out.

The bottle has the original Alien shape, but is clear glass with gold accents and the colour of the perfume is a beautiful champagne.

Thierry Mugler’s Alien Eau Extraordinaire is available in 60ml for £50 and 90ml for £68 refillable Eau de Toilette from department stores such as John Lewis, Debenhams etc.
